"Notes to self"

One upside to your birds: The poop would work as amazing fertilizer for a garden.

True. Plus I have started a compost pile. In combination with my shop vac (see Note to Self #3) it means adding to it is painless!

p.s. Let’s you and I just ignore Aart’s negative comment (jk); he apparently doesn’t know anything about the wonders of a shop vac! (Tee hee).

p.p.s. Is Aart a roo or a hen!? Just want to get my pronouns correct. LOL

Aart's a hen lol.

And I'd never considering using a vac in the coop. DId try a leaf blower in there to de-dust... yeah, don't do that unless you get yourself fully covered up first. :D

A Spent Hen :gig

Use the shop vac in the coop a couple times a year for the dust....which is probably some pulverized poops.....but fresh poops, can't think of a worse thing to run thru a vac, even if it is wet vac.

@RonP used leaf blower for dust removal, but set up positive pressure in coop first.

Yeah that's massively smarter than what I did, which was get IN the coop with the leaf blower and then hold my breath. 🙃 Still plan on doing it again for my big fall clean out, just going to be a lot smarter with covering up as much as possible.
Did the dust actually go out the windows?

Whatever didn't stick to me and my hair did. :D Had the chickens locked in the other side of the run, which isn't as far as I'd like, but better than nothing.
Next time have the hubs use the blower on you after you're done with the coop! :gig
