Hi,

I am still pretty new to raiseing chickens and have learned alot from the Forum. I try to build my own stuff, but being disabled has been a challange. This is my Home Made Brooder nothing fancy, but it works.
It is 2 old bathroom vanity's that was in my late husbands shop, sitting side by side with a old countertop. took the drawers out and put hardware cloth over the openings. It is located out in the garage with heat lamps.

That is awesome! I love how you can still use the top as a work bench...but I would put it up higher so I could watch the chicks...very clever

I love what you did, I did something similar with another piece of old furniture a dining room table that had the glass broken. Im however questioning if I should put some pine shavings in the bottom or hay, right now its just wire and their poop drops directly from the cage. Its keeping the cage clean but Im worried about their little feet. What do you think?
