Imported from the US and then brought over to Ontario before they changed hands to a friend of mine (a APA judge) who then sold them to me. I only have the one left, but know of someone else local who raises them, so I will get her a boyfriend come spring probablyOh my goodness, she is PERFECT! How cute!!

She is the cutest little thing!
NS has lots of good breeds, you just have to know where to look. Never saw any Seremas around here, but did see Sebrights, Japanese Bantams and many, many Old English Games.Ohh makes sense! I have only seen them in the states. I'm not sure if I'll ever import anything, seems like a big process.. Plus where I am moving to Newfoundland in a few months I don't think chicks could make it through the journey from the border back all that way
Maybe eggs one day, I'm not sure. From what I've heard shipped eggs have a really low hatching rate.
I've been looking into seramas a bit but that's not going so well either. They're all in the states! Found someone with a few in PEI but who knows if they'll still have them in a year or so's time.
Newfoundland has even less than everywhere else too. Maybe if I was to be living near St John's it wouldn't be so bad but I'm gonna be on the west coast, 9 hours away lol.
Why does the states (or occasionally Ontario) have to have all the good stuff![]()
I've only had a cross, and they can fly really well. They are very easy to tame, and many have trained them to fly to their shoulder. The man I got Maddie from had some Japanese bantams,, but i don't think I'll be buying from him again! Thats what I was originally planning to pick up from him, until I saw my little lady.
I've always wondered about EOG.. I love the look of them but I've read that they are very flighty, is that true?
And yeah NS isn't too bad, I know I will still be traveling back and forth a bit because my parents live here, I'm sure I could work in some bird pick ups into a trip if need be.
So tiny and adorable!
Oh no, they are very easy to tame. This is why they are so popular for showWow! Thank you so much! Very helpful. I read somewhere that EOG were hard to tame, so they were never on my list. Perhaps now they will be! That list is awesome![]()

Hi!Hello there. I live in Nova Scotia. Near Weymouth just in sight of the Bay of Fundy. I have been here only since fall 2012 and love it. Busy with retirement looking after 5 Muscovies and 3 turkeys and our Flemish Giant rabbit and of course my dog. Had a bunch of laying hens and lost them all to one of many mink around here.
