November 15th Quilt Swap

We can never have too much fabric.

I have most of my components done for this one. I going to try to have it done before the cold weather sets in @Oct 15 around here. I never know what the cold will do to my arthritic hands.
I will set the next one or two swaps out so I will know for sure that I can handle the holiday stuff this yr.

wow !

So, I just now finished the blocks for one side of the quilt I'm working on prior to this swap quilt (36 log cabins completed)
soo I'm going to put that project on hold, and switch over to doing this swap quilt so I can post the speed piecing pictures I promised which I will be taking as I do it.

Meanwhile, in the hatching area I have 3 fluff balls hatched from 12 eggs (one friend's eggs for another friend's flock replacement)
these 3 hatched 24 hrs early, the remainder of the eggs are still & silent so that isn't looking too good... I need to candle a ton of shipped eggs tonight which will be day 4-5, gonna check the air cells for the first time...fingers crossed b/c these are for _me_ and I really really am hoping they do well.

Now to pick the which sage & pink are for swap and which are for my own additional blocks...fun fun :>

The current quilt in progress, poss. layout , will need to make 1 more blue to do it this way.
This is my first time trying to use log cabins for a secondary light/dark pattern, looks good in photo but in real life the lights have way too much color/pattern than I'd want, but it was using what I had at the time so I'm working with it.

Most of the shipped eggs, which look pretty but candled last night and all are sloshy, only a few are still developing at day 5

And just for fun, here are the 3 fluffies hatched this week, from a friend's eggs, for replacement flock for another friend who had a disaster.
These cuties are barnyard mutts from lovely purebreeds who are running mixed together atm

Now on to the Sage&Pink Swap -- begins tomorrow pics to follow...
