November 15th Quilt Swap

This is a sneak peak at one of the sixteen different blocks I made. I thinks this one is wonderful.

the chicks are so adorable now I want to bake some oh I mean incubate some

very pretty log cabin too, so much happening not being on in a few days.

@minnichicks - great blocks, looks like several diff. fabrics in that pile so be sure to sticky note or pin your name on them so we know which are from you as they will be diff. and spice our individual quilts differently.

@katsdar - I have those 3 promised to a friend, but I really like the look of the yellow one, something about it screams BigBird so I've been calling her "BB" not sure my friends will see it, as she is getting wing feather already which are white & dark brown. According to my friend who I got the eggs from she is at least half SFH in order to have hatched yellow as the rest of her flock is B/B/S of one breed or another.

Thanks on the log cabin. I'm not thrilled w/ it but it will do & I have learned from it for next time. The 3 inch cut size works for fast but I think smaller would play better w/ the light/.dark theme, also as I stated a few of the fabrics were not clearly all light or all dark enough so distract from the secondary pattern, not terribly but enough that I'll do diff. in the future. This is going to be one side of the quilt the other will be a large red Ohio state O in the center on a grey field then I think I will do an Ohio star block for each corner. It is a gift for my 2nd cousin who started at Ohio state this fall & who is named after my Grandmother (her Great-grand) who taught me to sew, as such it will be tittled "Emma's Legacy". I'm switching over to do the Sage& Pink blocks then I'll do the other side & get Emma's Legacy sent off while it is still football season.

Finished! I have enjoyed making these and when they are all laid out they look so good as more patterns appear.
