November 15th Quilt Swap

ok I didn't post a pic of my blocks, been busy as all of you have been too. I did change my sage because the other when I was cutting it was really thin why I didn't check that before I bought it is beyond me.

I have to say this block was a joy to make especially after that last one, I think I still have nightmares

I can't wait to get all of the blocks I think this will be one of our prettiest quilts yet.
Yay! and I know that pink, I came really close to getting it myself, glad you did b/c it worked up very nicely for these blocks; I think it has a lot of round motion in it which adds something against the very boxy pattern of the block...not sure I'm being clear what I mean...but I like the block :)

Hmmm...We have excellent taste in fabric. I'm pretty sure that's the same pink I used! Does it have little silvery bits in it around the flowers? It's a small (fabric) world!

@cathiesue it does seem that we have the same fabric, it is very pretty. I found this fabric at Hobby Lobby so where do you frequent? Tho I do have to say most of my fabric comes from wally world.

@katsdar yep. hobby lobby. i could not find a pink i liked online.

My new sewing machine for those who asked http://www.babylock.com/a-line/rachel/

You have to know that I have only ever sewed on my grandmothers machine. a pre-1n960's cast iron Pfaff. This sweet machine will sew a straight stich around the world and to the moon without ever missing a beat. But, a zig-zag is the only other feature she had so I needed to bite the bullet and get a new one.

The other thing you need to know is that I went on a retail clothing buying fast in September of 2012. No retail. I could make it or thrift it. I enjoyed it so much that I've signed up for another year. It's a personal pleadge but i have heard of others doing it.

I knew my exceptions would be underthings, socks, tights and the like. Also clothes with words. Like I need any more chicken themed t-shirts! He Ha !

But, i was feeling very limited with sewing wovens fabric only. And my manua buttonholess we such disaster that I actually paid an alterations lady to make them for me!

So anyway, I'm venturing into the world of t-shirts and knit dresses. I just bought this pattern http://www.sewaholicpatterns.com/renfrew-top/ I love ccowl necks!

Hope I haven't hijacked the quilt out of this thread!

I can't set foot in Hobby Lobby until after the first of the year. I have a very hard time in that store in the best of times, but during the X'mas season starting around the first of Oct, a trip in there even for a moment would likely land me in the ER.

I got a new machine a few years ago and the thing I love most about it is it threads the needle!!! I didn't know that when I bought it so it was a very pleasant surprise.

Is it dust? or the cinnamon smells that trigger it?

Most any chemical, perfume, aerosolized products etc..... I have so many triggers it has been hard to isolate the chemicals, but I know many of the products. Stores, church, public venues (movies, theater etc.. ) are hard to impossible for me.
