I have read LOTS about Alex!! Love love love it!! We rescued our Clarky boy about 9 years ago and he is just TOO MUCH! He disciplines the kids, the dogs, ME, and imitates the chickens (especially baby peeps.) His newest thing is shouting HAPPY HALLOWEEN! When I answer the phone! I swear I live in a mad house! LOL People who walk by my house sometimes probably think we are nuts! Between all the chickens crowing and squawking, the kids squealing and the parrot shouting random things...we are an interesting crew! LOLWelcome! I'm on my first hatch, and using a styrofoam incubator I made. Temps and humidity are perfect but the eggs aren't developing that I can see. Tomorrow is
Day 6. Anyway, I also have a boxer (he's 8) and I adore African Greys. Have you ever read the book about Alex?
HI,I did go a head and file the insurance claim with usps...I hope I get some money back...then if none do develop there is next spring!
this girl must have little experience because she actually said the others would still be good to incubate!![]()
and that she sent me 2 extra so I wasn't really out anything! oh boy!! I'm really hoping 1 or 2 survived the rollercoaster ride...she just couldn't get it that they were loose and rolling around in the box
Quote: next year I'm probably going to stick to BYCers and those I've met through the web site that are local to me
I wouldn't have even bothered with the usps claim but familypendragon insisted![]()
I have an African Grey, Baby. I saw her when she was 3 days old. I've had her since she was 3 months. SHe is now 8 1/2 years old. She talks, sings, barks, makes chicken and turkey noises, dances and can break out of any cage. I love my Baby. I have read a few books about Alex. There is another book called 'Conversations with Cosmo about another African Grey. Ilove it. Right now Baby is jealous of Max and Max is jealous of everyone else.I have read LOTS about Alex!! I ran a hand dyed yarn business for many years - a totally one woman show! The one thing I can't stand is bad customer service - there is just no excuse. You paid for hatchable eggs - didn't get them, you paid for insurance to make sure you got hatchable eggs and in case of bad customer service - the latter of which you did unfortunately get. There is no way you should spend all that money just to be treated crappy and have nothing :/ She got paid either way and that seems to be all she cares about. THAT stinks.next year I'm probably going to stick to BYCers and those I've met through the web site that are local to me

Hey haven't seen you on much...glad your joining us!Hi Fellow Hatchers!
I started with 14 Serama eggs, shipped, 7 under my broody silky and 7 in my Brinsea mini on October 7th. We're down to 4 good-looking ones under Little Silky and only 1 in the Brinsea, but it was rocking this morning before I left for work!
Gonna lock the Brinsea down tonight and close up Silky's section of the coop. Fingers crossed!!!!
I haven't posted much but love reading the thread!!!!
Good luck and congrats to everyone.
