November/December "Hatch-a-Long"

Tuesday on the left and Paris on the right :)

Stayed up as long as I could then fell asleep.  Woke up to STILL no pips, no chicks and no movement again.  This is frustrating.  I wish I was better at candling so I could have a better clue what is going on in those eggs!!  Have 3 more set to hatch tomorrow, so may have plenty of activity in the incubator soon.  Honestly, I would rather they hatch with the others in case I only get one.  Only one survived hatch with my broody and it has been tough raising a single bird. None of the feed stores had any chicks or planned to get any before Spring. We had such an early FREEEEEZE I was afraid to leave the chick in outside with mama, so here he/she is in the house!! :D   I have handled this chick a lot and so have my children so this is by far the tamest we have had and that is saying something!!

Questions:  Our little 4 week hen has  pretty good size comb.  I don't remember any of my other babies having a comb this big this early (of all 15 I've raised from day old....NEVER a rooster...) do you think I have a little roo on my hands?? I actually hope so!  Our MASSIVE red rooster is getting old and ready to retire. We have more roosters, but all but one are bantam and none are red.  This little guy or girl is red!!
Sounds quite possible :)

Exciting! It is all happening in my incubator. Three out and four more pipping! I am sitting here watching them through the lid like a moron ;-)
exciting!! I am hoping that my eggs due to hatch tomorrow go more like your hatch has than these two stubborn eggs I'm dealing with now! LOL Congrats again and have fun!!
