oh exciting!!!!First egg pipped sometime last night.
this^I don't think it got to 110 in your bator...your temp went up because it started drying
I had a 110 blip last hatch .thought they were dead for sure but had a good hatch.......I can't wait either. I have sworn to wait until day 10 this hatch because I think I candled too much last time, and due to a too weak light, I never saw anything anyway!! I had only one developing egg when I was finished! I have a better light, so hopefully this time will be better. I hope the temp wasn't any higher than that over night. I'm thinking I caught it at it's peak. The eggs didn't feel too hot to me either. IF it DID get to 110 for a short time, the eggs would certainly die?? I sure hope it didn't. I'm so excited for this hatch! My 2 little girls were so bummed after our last crummy hatch!
did you know that the usps has a automatic insurance now up to 50.00...I received some really messed up eggs 3 weeks ago...I took pictures as I opened them....1 of the girls on here insisted that I file a claim which you can do right on line and upload your pictures as evidence...you need your tracking number and that kind of infoI guess I will post here. I mistakenly started a different thread. My Eggs are set on day 4 so due to hatch December 1. I was doing the dry incubation method but put water in yesterday because the humidity gage was reading 15%. I am very apprehensive about this hatch because they are shipped eggs from TN to MD which is pretty far. The post office took 3 days (1 day longer then they said it would) and 4 arrived broken. On initial candling Lots of them have clearly saddle shaped air cells and some others look kinda wonky. I dunno. The seller sent lots of extra eggs so I am hopefully.
