Max volunteered today. SHe helped raise $2700 for 3 animal resccues, working in a parking lot on game day. Some people asked to hold her while inside their car(air conditioned). They handed her back to me and Max flew straight back to the AC. Silly turkey.



After 6 hours in the sun, Max is pooped.

I do have eggs hatching in October, I swear. I have 9 silkie, 12 Dominique, 7 Mille Fleus. This time I am not expecting much of a hatch. The Mille Fleurs and silkies were given to me. The silkies might bea bit old. The Mille fleurs already had several rings of death. I think the heat started them before I ever got them. And the dominiques are from an auction and were being sold as eating eggs so they may not be fertile. So I may end up with one, I may end up with 20.

Oh I know....it's hard to not want to candle them every day!!! Mine are due on the 19th!! Wow, just looked at the calender and I thought they were due on the 28th...but it's the 19th! I guess now I am happy that it is sooner to see them hatch then later.
