November/December "Hatch-a-Long"

22 in lockdown today..hope they are ok.. wish maran eggs were easyer to candle...so i have no clue on those.
BUT a few did "fight"back when i picked them up lol

Two chicks didn't manage to make it out of their eggs today. :( The other four are doing great and should be taking their first trip outside soon.
 
Ive got 25 eggs due on 14th
Mainly Silver laced wyandottes (large)
But i also have a few Black sexlink x Silver laced wyandotte eggs in the incubator to :)
Cant wait!
 
Well on day 19, 1 Sussex pipped and 4 d'Uccle's.

morning of day 20, and we have 1 Sussex & 5 d'Uccle's hatched and another 3 pipped.

3 still no signs yet... but fingers crossed for a 100%.....

(high hopes but u never know)

Hi every one ....i have 3 silver laced wyandotte eggs hatching right now and one hatch with its head at the pointy end of the eggs ...i candled the end its heads meant to be at and theses an air sack there so it is diffinetly hatching from the wrong way ....what should i do ?

it's hard to know with this situation....if it were me I would open that end as much as you can without nicking any veins so the little thing can breath....then wrap it in a damp paper towel leaving only the hole open and put it back until it's ready to hatch...then you will most likely have to help....it won't be ready for at least 24 hours after it's first pip so don't rush
