I feel like I just laid that egg.

Hi everyone. I stopped hatching for a little over a month. But I now have 5 eggs due to hatch on Oct 21st. Four are black silkies and the 1 is a paint silkie. It was the extra egg so of course it would develop. These were shipped and I had no damage to air cells! I am 1 week to lockdown. Here is a candle pic I took today.

Hey! I just liked your status on the Hatch-a-holic's group on Facebook! YIPPI. :)

I knew it! One of them decided to join the world while I was gone... The rest are working hard, nearly all have pips. :D

QUESTION:
The first egg to pip had a white membrane on it. Now it's turning yellowish. Is that a problem?

Ive a fully automatic incub. But the moter broke so i had to hatch my 12 african goose eggs with my hands and 9 came out and one died in the egg coz i kept opening da incubater !

Who says african goose eggs are hard to hatch is wrong ! Coz they are easy but very slow coming out eggs and i stated using da incubater 5 years ago and every single gosling i got were all females except once i got 2 males but yea maybe i just collect female eggs?!

So this is day 11 on my duck eggs. Since I am a newby I don't exactly know what too look for when I candle tonight. On day 4 I candled and all had veins with little thready veins attached! I am so stinking excited but nervous to!
