Well, duh! Lol. But she put the word egg in quotation marks, which often indicates the word is being used in place of something else.

I just filed the claim...pretty easy...just uploaded the pictures that I posted here! and that's it....hope I do get a refund

did any of your hatch at all?

I have previously received:

20 Welsummer/ 0 chicks
24 Breda/ 0 chicks
20 Barred Rocks/ 3 chicks
40 South American rare breeds/ 2 chicks
10 Bielefelder/ 0 chicks
Currently have 15 Wheaten/Blue Wheaten Ameraucana chicks on Day 14 out of 18 eggs - FINALLY a decent hatch hopefully.

she got obviously upset because she said she "disagreed" with what I said about packing....I gave her a line by line of how they should be packed lol
by the time I finished that email she had left me another message that she was going to file a claim with usps... which is helpful...I was already disappointed that she shipped them on Friday...duh!!

during some of our communications she had told me she was out of work...so I didn't want to leave negative feed back since this is income for her...I wrote that the packing could be improved but she was helpful in the comments but clicked positive!

If she's out of work, then she has the time to do it properly. Most of the people I have delt with have always offered more eggs if I just paid shipping. I did have a guy I bought Guinea eggs from. That were packed badly. I asked why he packed that way and did he know there were better ways. He said it was good enough. I only had 8 out of 27 make it to lock down and they were all malpositioned. I couldn't save a single one. I get mad when people act like it's not a big deal. It is very hard for me to see all of those chicks die.

I'm thinking she may have accidentally prcked it open then seen or known there was nothing in there. Like I said there's no way she would have eaten an almost completely formed chick and not leave a trace if it with a 3 hour period. It may have just stopped forming early on. Besides silkies aren't known to eat their chicks.
