UPDATE: Thor may be down to just 1 chick now, not sure, I saw one move VERY much (dancing more like it!) and I beleive I saw the other but it moved out of view possibly. We'll see. Simba is possibly not progressing (pretty sure, but we will see) and oddly enough... Apocalypse is not progressing -- couple of veins there but no chick and light all the way through. We are leaving the egg in, just in case, but not expecting anything. Everyone else, especially Pretzel are DANCING in their eggs. I swear they must be dancing... Either way, so much fun!! Tomorrow at 11:30am we will be on Day 10!!!

Max and I were painting out ceramic butter churn we have been working on for the chickens' fermented food. Well, I was painting and Max was trying to eat the paint. I can't wait for it to be done. My chickens hate layer pellets but they seem to like them fermented.


Somebody was on my bed, I wonder who?



Late nightbidding on Ebay. Lucky for me no one else was up so I got a really good deal. This will be for broody hens, once I have some.

Max and I were painting out ceramic butter churn we have been working on for the chickens' fermented food. Well, I was painting and Max was trying to eat the paint. I can't wait for it to be done. My chickens hate layer pellets but they seem to like them fermented.

I woke up to chaos this morning....I thought what are those chicks doing....there are 4 chicks in the brooder that are 1 2 and 3 weeks old. I went to check and IT WASN'T THEM IT WAS THE INCUBATOR! so far 2 White Leghorns and 1 Favorelle have hatched and a bunch of pips!!!
