They don't have Barredd Rocks.oh OH then barred rocks...that's why they'd look like sex links??
The chicks are reddish. Legbars at least the ones I have were much lighter and the pictures on there website were much lighter but looked very close to 13-18.what makes you think rhode bars instead of leg bar?? can you sex the rhode bars the same as a leg bar??

Crazy right? That's why I took my chances. Even if I got all Swedish Flower Hens, which is their cheapest at $19 each, I still got a good deal. I was thinking the same thing 6,7,8 boys and 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 girls. Maybe the yellow chicks 3, 4, 5 might be Jubilee Orpingtons. I think the black ones 9, 10, 11, 12 are Marans but the Birchen should be a lighter chick. They look just like my Black FCM but Greenfire doesn't have Black ones. I have no idea what 1 &2 might be.I just looked at the site...I'd say your tan little one are rhode bar boys and you pretty stiped rhode bar girls!!! and I saw the prices!! hold on while I pick up my jaw........![]()

I have to build more coops. I was thinking if I got more Legbars or Marans, I would have better diversity. I have very nice ones already but not sure who is realated to who and how they are related. ANd if I got something that I wanted like Jubilee Orpingtons that I can't afford, that would be great. Anything I didn't want should be easy to sell since they are Greenfire. I have them in my room. I am going to hold them a lot to make sure they are very friendly. They should be ready to lay next spring. I can't wait to see how their feathers come in.if they are that's going to be amazing!! I'd say the blacks are indeed Birchen Marans. As I understand it, they usually hatch black and turn more greyish as they age. I *think* they're also the only feather-legged breed GF does, so that narrows it down pretty well.
