I will second this. This last hatch I helped a chick stuck in the zipping phase, after it hatched it had splayed leg out behind it and couldn't walk. This issue I was treating and correcting but it also had some other neurological issues. It didn't have the coordination to eat or drink, even after several days out of the egg, I had to mix food/sugar water for it and feed it by hand. Eventually I had to put it down, it was starting to decline even further. I wish I had let nature take it's course early on in that case instead of having it suffer for several days hoping it would get better.I'm so sorry!! quite honestly tho if it couldn't hatch it's little self it had issues that would have caused the same out come most likely![]()
I helped one that couldn't get it's self out but found out it had a peg leg...the other chicks picked on it....and it never would eat.
He makes my day. What a dude!
