Yes, I had to do a last minute switcheroo on partners, and still haven't heard from Bil's original partner. I don't know what happened with them.

Hello Everyone and Happy Thanksgiving (late) and Merry Christmas!!

I just wrote Shelley, thought I had better get on here and explain myself....

Sorry I was MIA. Matt was put in the hospital with an extreme infection in his lower leg. Turns out he walked around with a nail in his shoe for a few days Thanksgiving week and didn't know it, he is diabetic so the infection came on fast and bad. We were out of touch with everyone for almost 2 1/2 weeks. When things finally got back to almost normal, I had to have my computer fixed as it broke while we were at the hospital.

Now you really want to know the great news. When we got home we found all of his favorite quail had died during a very wet and cold snap we had. He was devastated, so now I am trying to get his interest back again along with nursing him back to health. I can't seem to find any eggs to put in the incubator for him to watch while he is layed up and of course the few quail we have left and chickens have decided to quit laying. It has really been a Merry Christmas to us.....bhah hummbug. he is so bumbed out right now and depressed, its terrible. And of course there isn't much I can do for him except try to nurse him back to health.

Sorry to complain to you, I am only on the computer for a little while each day so i haven't been on BYC in a while.

Hope your Christmas is a good one and maybe I can get back to normal after the first of the year, if he heals ok and the infections go away without losing his foot or leg.

If it wasnt' for bad luck we would have no luck at all. My tree is up with lights on it, but the ornaments are in a box on the floor. The boys got the outside stuff out of the garage, but I have had no time or energy to put it all up this year. Taking care of the chickens and him are about all I can handle. I also work partime 4 days a week.

Again sorry for venting on everyone, but I guess I needed to explain myself and the problems happening here.

i love a christmas tree with just lights....

oohh now that i think about it, there's someone here in vegas that's always got eggs on craig's list.. not sure if they ship or not... i believe they're the cotournix or however that's spelled.... if you really need more eggs and i need to go pick these up and ship them for you, let me know... but i think there's probly some BYC'ers that will step up to the plate if they know someone is looking for them...
