I just put the 5 remaining BO in the hatcher! Let's see how it goes!

They went through so much to get to me, I'm really hoping all 5 hatch.

2 of the duck eggs were quitters, that leaves 5 going into the hatcher looking good! They are going in with some Pekin, Cayuga, Magpie, and Call eggs - should get something to hatch!

I hatched 2 seramas the rest quitted somewhere in the last part.

A big 0 for me with my swap eggs. I had 5 that made it to the hatcher but all died without pipping

- Must have done something wrong with them. I did have other eggs hatch though, 2 calls, 3 pekin, & 4 magpie so far - still have about 8 pekin and magpie eggs left.

Well, despite getting lost in the mail and hanging at the warehouse for some time, my eggs have hatched-

I originally had 9: 7 BO and 2 mystery eggs.

The 2 mystery eggs weren't fertile, while 1 of the BO wasn't fertile. 1 of the BO quit soon after, and then 5 made it to day 18. 1 quit right away, while 3 hatched, and 1 died without pipping, prompting me to pip the other 3 late day 21- I am one of those folks that helps!

The one that didn't make it had pipped into the air cell but was too pig to pip and the shell was very thick, so I'm not sure it could get the force necessary to pip- wish I'd helped it, too! it was huge- filled the whole shell!

One of the hatched chicks is like that- so fat it's dragging around its giant belly and keeps getting rolled over, unable to right itself!! Very cute!

So, 3 healthy babies is better than it could be from the way the PO lost them!

I have had that happen before, big, big chicks not hatching. They just don't seem to have room enough to get enough force to pip the shell.
