Do you know what color the silkie is going to be? The pic looks like a white but I can't find my glasses to take a better look lol

The silkie was a splash. Notice I say "was". I was letting my broody raise the chicks in the flock. I guess the little silkie got separated from her and was killed. I found her in the coop when I got home from work

I have since created a seperate area in the coop for momma and the remaining baby.

Pics of my crew. They are 3 days old. All will be easter eggers or olive eggers. The sickly one is more alert and active today, plus she finally started pecking at food. The Ameraucana and Rhode Island chicks are proving to be a lot more "vigorous" than the Marans and Australorp babies. They are all getting along for the most part. Their little tail feathers are starting to grow in - so cute!

Can I join the hatch-a-long? I am setting 7 eggs tonight from Papa's Poultry. This is my first time trying to hatch eggs, so it should be interesting. I have a Brinsea mini advance incubator. I'm hatching a variety of orpingtons, a marans, and a wyandotte.

I set my eggs on 10/24, so I just did my day 18 candling. 6 of 7 eggs still look good. Keeping my fingers crossed. This is my first time incubating eggs, so far so good. The one egg I culled looks like it quit around day 8-10.
