I am sure others have done something similar but when I have hens old enough and they go broody I’m going to put a thermometer with temperature and humidity probes in the nest underneath them and use a camera to record 24/7 so that I can use that data to set my incubation to mimick that of a hen. Because hens are way better incubators than us I want to see the differences in what they do compared to what we do and see if I can come closer to mimicking how a hen incubates. This project is at least six months out though.

I’m so excited right now so I take the lid off my incubator every day because the way I have it figured the hen comes of the nest once every day I keep it off for 15 minutes or so well I decided to candle my seconds set of eggs this would be first candling and they are shipped so I expected to see some yolkers but they are ALL developing so as of right now I have 15 eggs that are developing!!!!!!
