November hatch along, anyone?

Yeah I had some Easter egger eggs I set in my other incubator and I had three that made it to day 21 but died in eggs due to high humidity during hatch that was my fault then I set new eggs and 7 or so days into the hatch I came home from work one morning to the incubator being 107F so I bought this new incubator and new eggs and so far everything is running like a fine tuned jet

Wow what was old bator ? I have a a hova bator auto turner and all then a no name joenelle that is even better had horrible hatch from hova bator but it was me, I just am not cut out to use them to old school

@ourcozycoop
Candled the eggs tonight, I could see development clearly in all 3 lav orps! Out of 29 eggs, 1 infertile, 2 probably dead, 1 very faint development the rest looking good!

That being said there are 3 copper Marans and they are really hard to see so the optimist in me is going with yes on them.

25 out of 29 on Day 5

There ya go!! Exciting :) We were a hard No on all our eggs aside from our little Bantam. I have yet to candle hers in the barn. I want to move her and eggs to somewhere more accessible. But that’s the selfish in me. She picked a great safe spot for the nest. Not so much for hatching. This is her first time. It would be ideal for her to get use to slight handling while broody so she doesn’t become nasty like our Linda. Lord Forbide anyone come close to her once she’s nested. ANYWAYS. I wasn’t very surprised with the lavenders they wonder away from the roasters throughout the day :( So now we have 5 fresh Old English game bantams in. They flock with the Old English roaster who is a very active boy *winkwink so wish me luck! It’s been almost 24 hours since set. I don’t know to much about incubating/hatching of these guys as the hens have done so in the past naturally. We will see *fingers crossed
