Well out of 7 we seem to have 3 that are doing wonderfully!!

The kids thought it was crazy (husband too) that we can see it’s wee eye ball! I’m already in love

I remember noticing an eye ball for the first time, it made me want to put the egg down gently for fear I could be hurting something delicate. It is good feeling to see life form.

I did not let the kids touch them!! Haha!! No way. They didn’t even ask actually I think they were a wee shocked despite me showing pictures of what we should expect prior too. I found myself moving much slower after realizing how much growth there was. So amazing!! I’m pretty sure we watch some heart beats too! Very impressive the process of life is!

My wife thinks it’s amazing every time I show her baby chicks moving in there and the she says every time put it up before you hurt it.

So you didn’t do anything special to get him to come to you

You know I always talk to my birds the way I did with pups over the years

Talk to all of my current chickens and when I come to the door of their run they all come to the door but they run as soon as I open the door and go in

I figure the birds are use to me just went out closed the pop door as they are now in filling themselves up mine do not run from me ever unless I was throw things over them they do not like that

Today is day 17!
I candled and saw movement in the Naked Neck egg!

Unfortunately my broody bantam Cochin kicked the bantam egg out of the nest.
It was cold but I put it back under her.
It’s developing but I didn’t see movement.
I moved her and her nest box to a rabbit hutch I bought and put in the garage. The temperature is stable in there and usually doesn’t go below 40 degrees.
The bars are only an inch apart so I’m hoping the chicks can’t fit through there.

I put shavings down and chick starter and water.
Now we wait...
