Yeah, they are pretty mellow and slow....tho I've seen one backed into a corner, mouth full or terrible teeth wide open and hissing.

Yeah, I whacked it with the rake and it just looked at me like it was offended. It never did hiss at me or even bare its teeth. When I was a kid, we had this huge possum that would come up to the back patio and eat the dog food. We would go out to chase it off and it would hiss at us and show us its teeth. Not so cute then.
