I was mad enough to use a propane torch this morning. If I needed them I did have a box of kitchen matches in my pocket.

It wasn't on a coop lock, but once I used a bunch of extention cords and a blowdryer to unfreeze a lock. The entire lock was encased in ice from an ice storm.

wow I dont feel so bad now, chickens stealing. thats low
tools can be re-bought but my pets to be stolen .
would be terriable for me.because i would be thinking they will be eaten..
We were gone2 hours.each day.
We had 2 break in-s twice in 2 days.we must have been watched have a lot of transients driving by. the barn lock cut and all most

Dh tools taken except the tractor. whoa that will never happen
again .. We now have 2 shots guns a a german sheperd.
but we also have double steel locks on the coop.. and barn.

Sissy, that's terrible! Glad you and your DH are OK, though.

horsejody, I did that once too! Unfortunately, the hair dryer burned out while I was trying to defrost my lock.
