Now I know why you call them fuzzy butts

i missed your post about daddy roo. americanas have a tuft at the ears. ear muffs some call them .being mixed chicks it will be hard to say what they are mixed with. the ear muffs may come in just a bit smaller. but probably colored eggs are in your forecast !! if i had to guess and thats a big if, i would say they are mixed with game hens.
two of them anyway.

Pretty sure it's a black australorp cross and the other one in the clutch that had a much larger single comb was a lighter colored baby (not black). Don't remember exact color or pattern since I saw that big ole comb and put HIM down and didn't give him a second look. Lol.
The only other black hens they had were barred rocks, so not all black anyway. This baby has a white belly and white on the tips of its wings. Her legs are black and her toes are black with flesh colored ends.
I think the lighter one is a buff? cross she has pink legs and feet and had some pretty significant pin feathers on her wings.

Have NO idea about Shyguy (darker striped) but she said they have Ameraucana hens as well and she thought it was full Ameraucana. Is this what baby Ameraucana look like as chicks? I think it would have a beard if it truly were. Her legs are a darker flesh color, not sure what you would call it.

I'm not sure what a bearded chick looks like. The girl who I bought them from I think said the darker striped one has a beard. I'm not sure if this matters but both of the striped ones had a darker spot on their head than the rest of their stripe.
The black one looks to have a single comb, but it's much smaller than the comb on the other hatchling that had a single comb as well. The other two, I don't really see a comb to speak of. They all have the same father (allegedly an ameraucana).

This chick is bearded.

Oh, they are gonna grow up so fast!
you are so right! Shy guy already has some pretty significant tail father's coming in and the wing feathers as well...they were just hatched Friday night/Saturday morning! Lemon had some serious pin feathers on her wings when she hatched, and her but is just starting to sprout little pokey feathers.
This chick is bearded.
I guess it have to have more practice...my eyes need better training all that fluff looks the same to me hahaha. Shyguy was bigger than the other two, much bigger. Not sure if that's due to breed or what. What exactly is a game hen and what would that mean for how they turn out as adults? Sorry for all my newbie questions!

Not sure what exactly a game hen is, but I'm pretty sure they're smaller than the typical chook...
