Now I'm confused on breed....

We got 6 poults that are now about 9 to 10 weeks old and growing fast. They all looked the same and after some research I concluded that they are/were Black Spanish, but as they grow I'm not sure that they really are. Have they just not turned black yet and will or did I not get the breed right?

With the dark brown on the first pic. If they are staying that dark brown I would say chocolates. Blacks are usually black from day one.

Could also be a bronze. They look brown when young also.

Could be. The only bronze based I've had were true eastern wild. And Narragansett. None had a mask when hatched. The yellow mask is what I based my geuss on.

What other breeds have that masks when theyre hatched? Only ones I could find were the Black Spanish

Blue slates. Black spanish. Chocolates.

Are ones that I have and know have a mask at hatch.

My palms, narris and bourbon reds don't.
