Just have to vent. I give our Church free eggs whenever they need them. Supplied 2 dozen free today for breakfast. Than I find out they were upsetbecause one had a small spot of blood in it. Made them upset. They said that is why they don't like eggs from hens with roosters. Is it wrong for me to think they are being picky or ungrateful? I think they are. They threw it away. It would not have hurt them. Maybe I won't supply any more. Just makes me mad. Or am I wrong?

Ok so now I find out they are telling people my eggs are no good don't buy them. that is why I have lost a couple of customers. Telling everyone it is my roosters fault. So you know what go to the store and buy your eggs for 3+ dollars. See if I care. Than told to candle my eggs to make sure there is no blood in them. I say Kiss my behind. I am really thankful for everyone listening to me rant and rave. Some people just are not nice. Educate yourselves. I won't tell them cause if I talk to them what comes out of my mouth won't be christian and I will not lower myself.

For them to complain is just wrong. If you are giving them free eggs they have no right to be that way. Like Ghandi said I like their christs, but not their christians. You would think they would just get over it, especially if it is your own church...

I love the Ghandi quote.

Educate them - blood spots are normal. Its part of chicken fresh eggs. It isn't something that happens to all eggs. All one needs to do, is pick out the spots with a fork.
Again, in a small way, this points to how people have forgotten so, so much.

It's not rudeness, it is lack of information. Educate them. Education in something like this is free. MOST people feel that way, falsely thinking that the rooster is the one that causes the blood spot.

Or.... next time, let them sit in the fridge for about a week. It will go away.

did they not even consider that it could be ovum stigmata?

I wouldnt give them any more eggs. That would pizz me off they wasted them like that...
And a blood spot has NOTHING to do with a rooster!
Maybe you can educate them about that...

im with you no more eggs.. doing something nice for someone should not come back to hurt you, or be on your mind.. other than feeling good for helping, thats why we do it....

Why thank you, most people hate me for using C.S. Lewis and Ghandi quotes.
