Now, This is Different..

Yes not everyone on BYC lives in the country, many cities now allow chickens. Usually there is a number limit and it is most often hens only.

Especially for someone in the city getting help setting up can make sense. Having someone setting up your pen that can tell a pullet from a cock, quote local code ie. knows how many you are allowed, how far from the neighbors you have to be etc. could head off or eliminate conflict. And most of these folk can't just throw something together like theymight in the country, local codes , and their HOA's won't allow it. And they often don't know where the farm store is or what supplies they need...

There is someone around here that has a package deal. I think it is a good idea.

I agree and if u got the money to pay someone to take care of all the particulars... GO FOR IT!

It's always a good thing to expose people to chickens.
I say yes to people that are trying to educate people about animals.
Different can be good too.

yeah I think it is a good idea too.....it allows them to have fresh eggs for their families.... If it was not for my DH I would not know what the heck I was doing with chickens and pens and nest boxes....
