Now what!?

I can’t grab her without her freaking out. I only adopted her a few months ago and she still doesn’t trust me. I was told she was friendly and will eat out of our hands. NOPE! I don’t want to injure her. I keep checking the babies. Haven’t seen any on them.
Do ducks space out after dark like chickens do?
Might have to bite the dust and just grab her,
sometimes the best way for them to 'get over' being handled.

Giving her a shallow pan (like a hog-pan) filled with a few inches of clean water would let Mama and babies do some supervised wading and dabbling. Once they're out, check the water for ... uggh ... floating maggots. Not seeing them won't guarantee they're not there, but finding even one will mean you need to chance Mama freaking out and get her treated.

I just showered... forgot to check her. Will try to remember tomorrow. She freaks and litter and dust goes everywhere! It’s warm in there (esp since it was 81• today outside, even hotter in the coop...)

Omgosh! The babies are growing so fast!
