NPIP certified

O.K., i've edited everything out so the answers i've gotten so far won't make sense, which is why you won't have to waste your time reading them. How do I get NPIP certified????????????

Do you know if this is like NPIP? what are the requirements to to get certified? Will this be for adult birds too?

I don't think it covers NPIP -- your birds have to be tested for a couple of diseases (can't think of the names right now, pullorum might be one), and come back negative before you can get that. I just emailed the same person yesterday, as well as the one who handles permits for selling food from your farm. I don't think either of those ladies is directly involved with the Animal Health program. I think I emailed someone at the state vet's office a few weeks ago trying to get information about NPIP but haven't gotten anything back.

Requirements for the importing of eggs, chicks and adult birds is determined by each state. I think you need to go by what the requirements are for the state that you are shipping to. You should be able to look them up online. Here they are for Wisconsin:

How do I have my poultry flock certified in the National Poultry Improvement Plan?

Certification in the National Poultry Improvement Plan requires that your flock be tested for Pullorum-Typhoid disease. Department of Agriculture personnel will come to your farm to conduct the certification testing.
