NPIP questions.

I have a breeding flock of welsh harlequin ducklings that came from holderread. I've been collecting their eggs this past week to seek the babies. Do I need to be NPIP certified? Could I sell them to my local feed store for them to sell to the public? And what does it intale to become NPIP certified? Cost?

Generally you only have to be NPIP to ship/sell across state lines.

Requirements vary by state. If you google your state's name + NPIP it should lead you to the website.

NPIP is a voluntery thing. At most being not NPIP means you can't ship live birds to States that require NPIP.

Plus if you show your birds I think you will need a vet's health certificate to show them if you are not NPIP. Ask the show folks. Best, Karen
