In what part of NC do you live? In about a week, I'll have seven more babies hatch, 4 pure Orps, 1 Blue Orp cross and 2 Barred EEs. Then add to that the ones that Nugget just hatched and I'll have a few babies that need new homes.

speckled, i just had a chick to hatch this mornin and it looks identical to your black 1 in the pic. i glad u said that white spot dosn't mean it's a cock. also, the chick is soposed to be a dominack?

If you have a Dom or a BR, either one, both sexes have the white spot. A large splotchy one with a band of "frosting" across the back of the head is usually a male. The picture below shows one of my BR cockerels as an example and the lnk below is excellent for learning to sex the barrecd breeds:
