Nuheart Heartworm prevention. Does anyone use it? Advice wanted!

Kacey's Krazee's :

We have been using Petshed for a number of years to purchase both heartworm meds and Frontline for our 2 dogs, and 2 cats. We have never needed a 'script from the Vet, and this was due to the company being in Australia. I am using the generic nuheart. We have been using it for about 4 years now. The ingredients were the same.
Never had any negative effects from changing them to this brand.

Even it is cheaper than here but what about the shipping? It would cost more to ship from AUST to US. So therefore we would be paying $40.00 for Frontline in our PetSmart store. No deals on heartworm meds.

I use Revolution for my Siamese cat....they dont have it in stock. I would love to get some from Petshed and no questions asked. I could not believe they didn't require a script. Now why it is ok for AUST to do that?

I have recently ordered some! But I will be on lookout to see if it is ok; are if I go back too the one I got from a vet! One of my dogs is 14! He has always been on heartworm medicine! I still have to get him tested from time to time but it was not that costly and I have 2 dogs! Treatment for a dog that is positive is even more costly! I in the past had a dog with heartworms and the vet did break the payments up for me and she had additional issues. Usually a vet will recommend a test more often if its been 6 months are longer since medicine has been admistered! But it is good to get them tested every few years! I hope that helps!

because if your dog has heartworm the pills could actually be fatal. that's why you need a script. and yes you should get a HW test at least every 2 years if consistent because the company that makes the product requires it with the guarantee, which is if you purchase through a VET and can show there have been no lapses, they will cover 100% of your bill to treat your dog. when you purchase via the internet that is all voided
