Hello, I have to say I always thought chickens only laid one egg a day and sometimes took a day off. For the last 4 days we have been getting 4 eggs a day.
That might not sound strange, except that we only have 3 chickens.
Is this normal, or an anomaly due to the hot weather or something.

    Hello,

Yes, it is odd that that happens.
    But it actually does.

It is perfectly fine, trust me,
it will probably stop in a few days.

I wish you the best of lucks and I hope my info had helped you!

How often are you checking the box? It sounds like a timing thing.

How old are they? I've had birds lay 1-2 eggs a day for a couple weeks not long after they first started laying

Thank you for all your replies. My hens are Warrens, about a year old. I let them out at about 9.30 every morning, usually after they have laid their eggs and started calling me to tell me what good girls they have been. That's when I find the eggs.

Haha I like that. I wish my hens did that. Lol
I have two that lay around 10-11 and one that doesn't lay until she's almost ready for bed. And my final current layer does so over night
