Hello,
My bronze breasted turkey appears to have a cyst near her wing joint (side of wing). I am thinking its a feather folical cyst. It is growing quite large in size and has cause her wing to not close properly. I am going to lance it open and try to drain it. I intend to do the following:
Clean the area (saline solution), numb the area, cut the area, squeeze the cyst with a warm compress, sterilze it with Vetericyn Poultry Care Spray, and wrap it with clean guaze. Check it daily for healing and/or infection.
Does anyone have any recommendations to numb the area. This poor girl has been threw the ringer (between mating season, etc.). I am hoping to make this as painless as possible for her. Also, if i left any steps out, please let me know.

Hey there are you able to post photos ? I never encourage bandages allot can hide from view there
