I just set my first ever batch of eggs to incubate. I monitored the incubator for 4 hours before placing the eggs inside. Earlier, the temperature was rising to 99.5, and now it’s staying around 91 with the same conditions as earlier.

1. Why isn’t the temp raising?

2. The egg turner works when I test it, but I haven’t seen it automatically turn for the past 30 mins. How come?

3. My humidity level is 53, is that okay?

I have always noticed a drop in temp when I first set the eggs. How long has it been? As far as the turner, have you reset the hatching days back to factory settings? Just press and hold the menu button and the minus button. You should hear a beep and the turner will turn for the next 18 days. After the reset, press the menu button and it will display the days left until lock down.

I set the eggs around an hour ago. I also factory reset a few minutes later and I still haven’t seen the egg turner automatically turn the eggs. I made sure to follow the instructions so I’m not sure why its only turning manually
The temperature light also isn’t blinking like it was earlier.

Do you have another thermometer (hopefully calibrated) to check the temp? The turner only works every hour. Check all you cords and your power source.

I don’t have another thermometer atm but I could possibly get one tomorrow. I saw somewhere that it turned more frequently so thanks for clearing that up aswell :) I think all of the cords are okay.

1. It has to bring the eggs up to temp now.

2. It only turns once per hour, IIRC?? You can verify it's working by pressing the manual turn button.

3. Let your egg temperature adjust before changing humidity. Open your vent completely.

Patience.. quit resetting your bator. Have some patience.. it's gonna be required! ;)

Thank you :) I’m just worried because I want everything to be done correctly:p Once I figure everything out I think I’ll be ok!

You will need another thermometer and hygrometer that is calibrated to put in there. Mine is off and I need to run my incubator around 100.5-101 (depending on temp of my house) to get it to average out to about 99.5 (there are hot spots and cold spots in the NR360 but the good thing is the turner spins around so all eggs are exposed to all spots). and think my humidity is a bit off as well but not as bad as the temp. Don't know if it is the "newer" NR360 that have this issue or just mine. I got one and it seemed way off so sent that back for a replacement and this one was off a bit as well but not as bad so I kept it since my eggs were coming and I didn't have time to do it all over again.
