Nutrisystem

I just use fitday. I used to use it all the time, but now that I have a handle on the carb levels of different foods, I only use it once in a while to check a new food.

I agree with the other posters, stay away from Nutrisystem and any other system that sells you processed, prepackaged foods, even if it is low carb, low fat, etc. Most likely processed foods is what got most of us in the overweight state we are in to begin with. I would really recommend the South Beach Diet. It is simple, easy to follow, you don't count calories or portion sizes and you eat TONS of food. I have never been hungry. You eat like we were meant to eat. Lots of fresh veggies, fruit, whole grains, legumes and protein - that includes all of your farm fresh eggs and chocolate!!! South Beach is a plan for life and it will help you to lose the cravings for all of the stuff that is bad for you. After just a month on the diet, I went through my cupboards and threw out everything prepackaged except for spices, some condiments, whole grain pasta, and cans of tuna, salmon and tomatos. I wonder how I could have been putting all of that processed crap in my body and expecting to be healthy?

Hang in there, never give up !!!

My only complaint with South Beach is that it was based on the premise that saturated fat is bad for you. It isn't. Even the author of the diet has back peddled on his anti-saturated fat stance.

South Beach is still better than what most people eat, but if you find yourself hungry all the time while following it, you need to ignore the anti-fat recommendations and start getting some more natural fats in your eating plan.

My endocrinologist recommends this one.

It's much easier to follow than Atkins, SouthBeach, or Sugar Busters. I've tried Weight Watchers several times. I lost 20lbs total. My sister lost over 100lbs!! I just don't have the will power.

I'm addicted to Dr. Pepper!!!!

ETA--The doc that came up with this diet also wrote the book "Low Carb Dieting for Dummies" You can email her with questions and she will respond. very personalable

Sorry...it is not very sensible to eat egg whites. The YOLK is where all the nutrition is. And low fat milk is a crime in my book.
