Nuts

thinking about planting hazelnut and pecan trees in my yard. My chickens free range. When the trees get big enough and start producing nuts what falls on the ground, would it be ok for them to eat?

Have not heard of any human food nuts chickens can't have except avocado.

I doubt that your hens will be able to deal with a ripe hazelnut or a pecan due to the incredibly hard shells. They will, however, love it if you would kindly crack the nuts for them.
