Sweet, I have a BCM roo. He's a doof, he likes to lay in the nest box with the girls. Both of my EE girls have a pea comb. One of them is buff with beard and muffs one is a neat black white, grey try color. They are both sweet girls.

Chicken Girl, What Breed? She is beautiful. And do you know who
will be bringing you Silkies? AND most important: where is Chickenstock
going to be...in Rome Tab, or at your place? I am searching for Silkies
Regards Aria

she is an EE of some sort. Very sweet and curious. If I hatch a match for her would you like it?

Chickenstock is here in Harpursville this year. Rome next year. As for my silkies I have no clue yet.

Ok - good I was not going to vote - since I am not a daily contributor to the conversation - BUT I needed a place not just a day to make my driving and possible hotel plans !

Gramma - I noted your request for 2 dark eggs or 2 dark egg layer pullets (I said blue in a private message - but I KNOW you wanted the dark brown). NOTED and you are first on my list ! :)

I'm trying to decide if I want olive Eggers, as when I sorted thru my green egg layers, I think I have plenty of those. But only a few this far lay a light olive egg, more of a dark green egg.
I have a friend on FB who has F2 & F3 Olive Eggers who lay gorgeous eggs. She offered me a rooster from the same hatch as the hens laying those dark olive eggs. But I already have "too many" roosters! I have one who may be an olive egger but not sure.

I remember seeing a few people on here saying they have OEs they could bring to Chickenstock. So, depending on what you have, that may be a better option as I'd have to travel anyways to get OEs from the other person.
My hesitation is 1. I love the color eggs but I'm particular about feather color, as I don't want a mostly black hen, a blue ok (tho I have many blue hens) or some "plain" hen! Lol
2. Chicks or hatching eggs would be cheaper & easier m, but I don't know if I want to wait another 6 mo b4 getting olive eggs.
3. For those who have or had OEs, would you recommend them? Like how's they're egg laying, as I've heard some Marans don't lay often b/c of the extra eggshell "paint".
