NY chicken lover!!!!

I've been asking my brother off and on for the past few months to borrow his game cam. I want to get my own. I know something is out there trying to get my birds and I want to know what!
I love it! Mine is only a low end model, but have already figured out my predator and also scoped out our resident skunk. Also got lots of pics of grass waving and chickens meandering. :p

Pharmchick: You and your friend are in my prayers.

Henny: Would love to snatch up your chicks. We do need to vaccinate everyone here for Mereks though. Makes for lots of lost opportunity. Two (pullet) chicks would be just right, too. Of course, there is the whole Albany is two hours away thing. And to think - I was just there last weekend. Saw signs for Vorheesville, Rensileer and lots of other places I know are familiar to you Albany folk. It was a great trip. First time at the Golden Correl and Mo's.

A fox won't forget. We have a lot of them this year, and if you have heard two, there are probably enough to have a den and kits...they really love chickens, one took one of mine a few weeks ago, it wasn't dark.

Here are some pics of my coop. My dog is obsessed with the chickens. I realized yesterday, whether I was outside or in he was outside of that coop the entire day keeping watch on the chicks. You don't know how many times I turned around while inside and was like "Where's the dog?" all I had to do was look outside my kitchen window and there he was! LOL

They LOVE the grass! They've been out daily since the weekend we got them (on the nice days) and now that they have the coop out there, I can't wait to get them "trained" to leave it and go back to at night because I do plan to let them free range during the day. We live on a state route though and I just want to make sure they know their "boundaries". I'm sure that'll take some time. However, they were out for about an entire day last weekend and we had some "activity" in our yard with a neighbor's dog showing up on our property, causing my dog to go crazy. Well when the chicks saw all that commotion they quickly came close to the side porch and just kinda huddled together and stayed there watching from afar. LOL

Linzi: Love the pics. Very cute coop.

Hope everyone is enjoying the day and getting lots done. Got a little hot, so came in the house for a break, Worked half a day then mowed lawn, weeded planter and trimmed the crabapple tree. Gotta go back out and clean up by the front stream so work can begin work on that. It is so nice to be able to go out and get this stuff done.

Tonight we will plant speggetti squash. Yum

Garage sales all over the place, but no time!
