NY chicken lover!!!!

I made them again yesterday. This time I used yogurt that was packaged as plain. The first time I made them I had scooped the yogurt from a fruit on bottom container, hence the hint of sweet flavor in that first batch. It makes sense different yogurt different flavor.
lol, I make my own plain yogurt one gallon at a time and we ALWAYS have fresh yogurt in the fridge, I also strain it and we use it as a soucream substitute on things like burritos ans potatoes.

Got two lavender orps from LadyLibra this weekend! I love them, they are great chicks and getting along just fine with the others. They're so calm and don't mind anything that comes around them at all. My dog was playing "mother hen" again while they were out in the yard this weekend.

Hi! I live in Centereach and am just getting started with Chicks.....can you recommend someplace here on LI for purchasing?

I got 12 eggs from 13 hens, which is a MIRACLE, cuz one is broody and one is raising week old chicks. And I know I didn't miss one yesterday, cuz I checked compulsively yesterday. Maybe I should recount the hens I have. We all know counting chickens is hard to do, maybe I have 14 out there. Or maybe one of the roosters laid it? It was kinda tiny. LOL
