I'm off to TSC to buy a trap. They are on sale, get 2 for the price of one, well, I don't need the smaller rat trap, but oh well...

Locked everyone up last night,,,it was hot, but all are ok this morning...today isn't supposed to be so hot so that is good.

I put an ad on Craigs list, Utica, for White Orpington Chicks...my last as I sold the breeding pair. I think there are around 8 chicks, 3 to 6 weeks old.

I'm cuttin my blue copper Marans flock by half...I just had them NPIP tested, so anyone interested, give me a shout out...privately please.

Just thought I'd let you know that I have some "extra" chickens available.

I think I have homes for the Wyandottes and Easter Eggers, but as you know, those roosters are hard to find a home for!

Plus, I just had my one Black Sex Link go broody, so I put a few eggs under her. I don't need any more chicks, but I want to see if she'll make a good mother. So, if any of you are interested in some of the chicks once they hopefully hatch, let me know.

I'm glad you are just busy not sick or something. I was worried when you didn't reply to my text.

Do you have any young chicks? I just need one or two to break a broody. She is making my NUTS. (and I need her to lay again, cuz her sister isn't laying and I only eat the D'uccle eggs, sell the large-XL to cover feed costs)

No chicks but I will have more red-golden pheasants hatching today/tomorrow-2 are pipped now out of 4. I had a few broodies this spring and I ended up putting them in a dog crate with a wire floor for 3 days and they weren't broody anymore.

It has been CRAZY! moving the goat yard, hatching chicks and pheasants (got some for sale if anyone needs some) hatching Call ducks for a friend and Mandarins for me

(ended up with two whites!) Kids are ending school, planning vacation to Assateague, MD in July. And still driving school bus and working at the high school in between. Oh, and yard and garden work too. Kids sports & plays. I am lucky to get indoors by 10 and bed by 11pm. 5 am is early to get up for work.

Oh and I am having an "adult ladies" home sales party at my house Saturday. If any ADULT ladies are interested PM me. PHEW!

Friend just lost 6 or 7 Call ducks and another friends lost 5 hens just this week. Dang coons!

A/C in the store does make people a bit calmer when its scorching hot out. I put a box fan in the window, on the shaded side of the barn to hopefully blow in a little cooler air.

Stay cool tomorrow it will be another HOT one.

Glad you are Ok.....It's just when I stop hearing from someone, I always wonder what happened....like rancher hicks..........hope he is ok....

I haven't posted in a while. Our internet was on the fritz (recently fixed),family functions, garden, chores, and getting ready to go camping at Bowman Lake this weekend. DH popped up our camper to air it out and the mice had gotten into it. They chewed holes in the canvas and made a smelly mess of it. I scrubbed it this week and we're going to put a tarp over it this weekend, eventually we're going to have to patch it.

If anyone is interested in owning some BLRW or started EE, bantam mixes, buff brahma bantams just PM me for info.

The silver ameracauna have the salmon breast like my avatar, but I don't have any more blue andalusion X silver lace wyandotte crosses like my avatar. I only have one andalusion hen and no longer have a SLW roo. Does your farrier like the one that you hatched? Trav is thinking about selling out his silver ameracaunas, so far he has decided to sell the adult trio we have. He says we need to downsize, hence posting I have birds for sale. It's like picking which one of your children you're going to keep or get rid of.

My farrier is thinking of getting chickens and likes the color of the silver with the salmon breast. If you sell them, please let me know and I will contact him. Just shod yesterday, so no hurry. Besides, wife has not definitely, said yes.

I know about the picking! Who stays? Who goes? Can't I just keep them all? I just put the nest boxes out with the Am/LH X's. Probably way too soon, but they are 4 months today.
