I hadn't planned on coming due to the date and the distance but I MAY have the next day off work so we shall see

And I thought I was the only one who ran quickly before the next car drove by because I was in my pj's.

Morning all! So the big coop of terrorists was quiet this morning until the perp who murdered his brother decided he was going to kill another one. Fortunately the proposed victim managed to fly over the run fencing and escape with his life. The perp and his brother in crime will be processed tomorrow so that will leave only 4 roosters left. These two are just plain mean. The escapee will be allowed to stay out today and he is busy down at the hens coop trying to woo the ladies. They arent impressed. We will work with the remaining four to see how they develop. Dh is going to try working one on one with them to test temperment and aggression as well as to build some trust and respect between him and them. Ideally it would be nice to get them beyond this teenage stage(about another 4 weeks) to see who would be a really good roo and backup roo. Since they will have 19 ladies to take care of this ration should work out well. Keeping my fingers crossed.

My silkie boys are finding their voices and its hilarious listening to them crow in the morning. Little Man has to have the last word of course.
