Getting to that point to. I just need some more ameraucana hens and some real nice quality mille fluer and mottled bantam cochins.

Went to put the chickens in tonight and I hear coyotes out there in the distance, UGH they better stay far from here. I haven't had any issues with predators at night since leaving the side porch light on and the light above the kitchen sink (it shines thru the window and into the backyard right in front of the garbage cans and close enough to the new coop and rabbit hutch) I think the raccoons have given up and have been staying away.

We're up to 3-4 eggs a day now. My husband is going to make an egg sandwich with the three silkie eggs tonight. Can't wait to see what the chef himself thinks.

It was so funny tho because as I was walking around the first time, I totally missed her! but I did hear her clucking as I went by, but could not see her. but later on, I was going back to get the silkie hen and chicks and I was walking past her and she starting screaming her head off so loud that I turn around to see what all the noise was about and I saw her but I was in such shock as I thought I would never see her again that I ran up to see if it really was her and it was!!! and she was SO happy to see me too, screaming and pacing in the cage. so I paid the guy and ran back to my spot to get a cage for her. all of a sudden I hear the guy screaming at the other vendors to grab that bird!! I turned around to see vendors running like crazy to try and catch her!!!!!. I was like oh no, I just found her and now I will lose her! Well let me tell you something, she got away from everyone and was coming flying and running as fast as her legs could take her and go's flying into my arms!!!!!!!!

Well, I sent 20 Roosters to auction yesterday. Was pleasnently surprised they sold for $100 (from 6 weeks -24, and a few year olds).

I also sold 8 year old laying hens, to get numbers down a little bit. My wife not thinking I would get rid of so many looks at me last night and asks, so are you going to try and find a few more Wheaten Maran, and Jersey Giant hens?
