NY chicken lover!!!!

We had goats once. They were very friendly, but we couldn't keep them in the fence. They ate my flowers, lilac bush, parsley, brambles, etc. And they got under the hood and on the engine of the car when DH was working on it.

Hey everyone! I've been MIA for a while (CRAZY BUSY) but we're starting to plan our gardens and hatchings...does anyone have any dark brown-layers (Marans, Welsummers, etc) that would be willing to part with some eggs (soon?).

BTW...Karen...those eggs that I bought from you at Nat's have turned into some lovely not-so-little anymore littles! One of these days (maybe this weekend if it does, in fact warm up some) I'll get some pics, lol.

I want goats...SO bad! I'll check out her blog. My DH told me yesterday of a lil' nigerian dwarf doe on Craigslist. I haven't gone on to check her out...I'm afraid I'll buy her on the spot!

Muggs................I have a pregnant Nigerian Dwarf due in March and my DH said we cannot keep the baby................................

Anyone interested in going in on a turkey poult order from Porters Turkeys?

I'd like a few, but the minimum order is 15.

I will have Bourbon Red & Narragansett eggs & poults in the late spring, but I'd like some of their more unusual turkeys as well

I can't wait to see them!!!!!! Did you get any lavender EE's?

No, we didn't, but some pretty wheatens, and some that look black...we may have some confusion, though. We have some EEs and they all went in the same bator. I marked the eggs, but didn't see all of them hatch. So I don't know what belongs to who

Anyone else using the big thaw we're supposed to be getting to...clean the coops?

I'd LOVE to but can't bring live birds across the border.
I would most DEFINITELY be interested in some eggs come spring, though.
