I am looking for silkie eggs, I live in Broome County and was wondering if there is anyone around here with them? Not looking for show quality, just some reasonable priced that I can hatch. Thanks for any info.

Ok, calm down.....I have eggs in the incubator, they are not laying up to par yet, but as soon as I have some for myself....I will be offering eggs. They are usually my best layers of all the breeds I have, but for some reason now, the Marans are laying like crazy!

Only blue wheaten,,and the occasional wheaten becuase I have a back up wheaten roo.
I'm going to take out the wheaten roo today, and leave the bw roo in with the girls.
He was afraid of the hens, until I added the wheaten roo, then he suddenly got it! LOL
I guess he had to see what he was supposed to be doing...
 
hi here i am mugs. here is brigeport information. they are small company but love them they need more vareity of consignment.

they start in march her are last years dates 2010 march13/ 27 april 10/24 may15/29 june 12/26 july 17 aug 14 sept 25 oct 16

auctions in march/ april are usually standing room only unless you get there early

auction starts at 10 until everything sold they are usually half way at 3:00 pm have never stayed whole time myself.

i buy and sell at this auction they have anything and everything rabbits/chickens/ducks/geese/bantams/ pheasants/ pigeons/peafowl/quail/turkeys/ pigs/goats/calfs/cages/ milkstands
inside pets hamsters/guinea pigs/parrots/ferrets/degus/ parakeets lovebirds......................

i've seen seb geese go for 18 dollars in fall but spring prices are kind of steep.

a few day before auction they put ads on craigslist to remind everyone
you can get added to his mailing list and they mail you postcard with all info.
 
there is also village auction company in alton, ny they only do 2 times a year late april and early oct.

outside auction in tent they have food wagon and port o pottys they provide metal fold up chairs. but byoc they are hard. rain or shine. bring blankets city slickers put your poop kickers on.
i have seen them sell bull frogs in jars. plus everything under the sun.......

there is a nother auction in lyons new york at mennite feed store in lyons , new york
they usually have good hay for horses and goats here.

they are also good will get more info

i go to all these auctions. they have horses at the lyons one sometimes.

both are in wayne county.
