NY chicken lover!!!!

Ok,

A while ago some one posted to have a chickens swap but nothing seems to have come of it. I had suggested the school across from my house since we are easy to get to off the main highways.

Since then I learned of TSC offering their place which is also near the main highways. I posted the information but have heard nothing from the OP of the original idea. If you are the original poster of this idea please let us know how things are going. I in no way wish to take over your great idea.

Thanks.

I didn't have good luck with them, so I started fresh.

F2's are in the incubator right now. Did a test hatch no LW's but it was only of of 8 eggs. I have close to 2 dozen in now. Fingers crossed.

My progress is on MY PAGE under lav shack...pics of my F1's also. How many F1's do you have?

Yep... I definitely said Chocolate! Shipping is about $60 for 2 juvenile pairs according to the website. They're bantam, but I have my huge black English Orps to work with & played with the genetics using lav, too. My black girls will be moving to the layer pen after I've got enough splits that I want to breed.

Daughter is great... now that she changed roomies. The 1st one was eating her food & drinking all her diet drinks even tho she knew about the diabetes. Poor girl woke up with high BG one nite & there was nothing in her fridge but apple juice!
How's your son?

That's on top of the $399 ? Good garden o' peas! I was hoping to order some Swedish Flower's. I did send them an e-mail but haven't heard from them yet. I can understand why they'd be expensive but Lord have mercy, who'd pay me enough for chicks to make it worth getting them?

Plus if you read carefully they mention inbreeding and all that implies.

I wouldn't go in with anyone at that price without a written contract.

Didn't know the chocolates were bantams.

Marqui - Keep me posted. Folks will need enough time to breed or decide what they'd like to bring.

Yes, but I believe they are hatchery birds resold.

Nature Berry Farm is a nice place. They are very nice and do have many types of birds there they they breed themselves. They also get many from hatcheries. I got some "Ameraucanas" from them last year. I should have known they were not purebred when he said, some have muffs and beards and some don't. These were Easter Eggers, they do lay a nice light green egg, almost blue. Many of their birds come from a hatchery and since they order in large quantities, that is why if you only want a few, and don't mind hatchery birds, you could get them from there relatively cheaper. I do have purebred Ameraucanas from the John Blemn line and they look and act much differently, plus their eggs are a gorgeous blue.

I got my girls from them and they've been wonderful to me. I have a cockerel, they took him back and gave me another pullet. I figured they were hatchery when I saw how many different breeds they had, but I'm only in it for the eggs!
