Ohhh Myyyy.....she's so beautiful and poofy!!! Wow the boys are far behind the girls in any sort of poof!!! Is she from the Alien Roo hatch?!?

Yes, she's from the county boy eggs. Almost definitely a girl - her roo brothers look considerably different, already with big red combs and crowing. Plus MUCH less poofy. I have a bad picture of 'brother' who is sitting on top of the pooped on ecoglow:

He's even mor feathered than my little runt Roo!! They are so funny....the higher they can get seems to be where they end up.... And anything or anyone beneath gets pooped on. Ha

Yah, and I switched them to the giant ecoglow 50 just for the next few nights since a few of the boys don't have full feathering yet -- the ecoglow 50 is huge and leaves lots of room for them to get up there.

Remember, here is MY alien roo (the one on the ecoglow) only 8 days ago..

Thanks everyone, I've separated it from the rest of the chicks and have been going to the shed every hour or so to give it water with a syringe (medicine dropper) He's finally holding his head up again and even turning it to lay it on his back while he sleeps. He actually looks more alert when I go in there to do this now. Still not walking around much. I hope he makes it thru the night. :-(

All of them are looking so good. I had 5 more hatch today!!! Uploading some pics of a couple of the chicks I have growing up!!

pyxis---Setting 27 isn't bad at all we set 30 eggs at a time and the frigabator has been holding 96 at a time the past couple months.  Go for it!

I did set them, lol. I already paid for them, so why not? Trying to get the silkie to go broody for me, or maybe my brahma. Then at least they can raise the chicks.

Woke up this am to 3 ducks walking down the road. It looked like they were going to check out our "puddle" in the side yard, but then they changed their mind, turned around and walked back in the direction they came from.
They weren't the wild type, a very light colored mallard?

Rancher do the jostaberries have roots yet?!

I'm not sure but they seem to be doing okay. I've stuck them in garden soil in a clear plastic planter so if they have roosts I can't see them. I'm trying to decide where to plant them.
