Quote: This is called a "wild" color. When birds are mixed enough, they revert back to this wild variety. At least that is what I was told.

What do they look like when mature? I have 3 or 4 that are coming in this color.

Grain buggy? Tell the store you got it from, cuz they have a problem in their storage area. I would not feed it to my birds, cuz they eat enough bugs without my adding some to their diet. I might mix in some DE and add water to it to make it a tasty treat for my birds. They think their food is something super special when I add water to the dregs from the bottom of the feeder. Silly birds. I would NOT put the bag in my coop/storage area. The risk to everything else in the area is too great and I don't want bugs in the scratch grains I am saving for next winter.
3 chicks. No more pips in this broodies clutch. No word from Grade school on number hatching down there. Will find out Friday, I guess
Dueling broody hens. One of them rolled an egg out onto the table and it didn't stop rolling....it fell off the table the broody boxes are on and broke on the floor. And it was GROWING. I am not amused. But I refuse (due to lack of space) to separate my broodies from the flock, so these things are going to happen and I just have to get over it. Still working on getting over it and it's been hours.
