broke into her grain pail...what does that mean ? Did she overeat ?Mother in Law's houdini horse got out again last night and broke into her grain pail...
I'm heading out to see how bad it is. Please send prayers/positive vibes that she doesn't colic.

Grats on the girls comeing home and finishing the coop.Well, tomorrow is a VERY exciting day...after a long winter and spring of planning, learning and waiting, our new girls from Rancher are coming home!
I'm a little anxious about how they'll do (and how I'll do, too!), but can't wait.
The pen has a way to go, but the coop is ready and waiting.![]()
Wish me luck! Thanks!

Congrats on the new babies ! Im sure you will do just fine . how old are they now ?
You sound like you already have a lot of Horse Sense ..
If you are using the run just for the daytime when you are around ...It doesnt have to be perfect ...right away ...they will stay in a fenced in area ...even if it is not covered ..
Or throw a tarp over the top for shade ..
get the sides up ...so they can get out ...then cover it in a day or two ..They will be inside the coop at night right ? That is the most dangerous time generally
my chickens all survived their first night outside!
yay!!
